Hello and welcome!
I’m Alex, German by birth, Londoner by choice and creator of vegan food blog My Vibrant Kitchen. MVK was born in December 2015 and combines three passions of mine: veganism, food and photography.
I’ve always absolutely loved tasting new flavours whether at home or on my travels. But then I went vegan just over 3 years ago and the diet and lifestyle change took my love of food to another level and sent me on a rather unexpected culinary journey.
I was living in Bournemouth at the time and back then vegan food wasn’t quite as readily available as it is now. In order to satisfy my cravings and foodie curiosity, I started spending more and more time in the kitchen, cooking, baking and experimenting with lots of new ingredients and flavours.
Little did I know that one day my little kitchen experiments would not only grow into an exciting and flourishing project and blog but it would also eventually become my full time job.
I feel very lucky and grateful for all the adventures I got to go on since I’ve first hit publish back in 2015. I’ve got to do vegan catering for several festivals, started giving my own vegan cookery classes in London and was featured in some of my favourite online and print magazines.
All my recipes are plant-based, relatively quick and easy to make, are made with affordable and easy to find ingredients and above all are utterly delicious!
