I love going on adventures. And since I’m utterly obsessed with food (surprised?), finding places to indulge in vegan goodies is always part of my favourite adventures.
Earlier this year I ate my way through NYC and shared the best of it here.
Then the other day I realised that I never talk about London’s vegan food. Maybe I take it for granted or it just blends in with my everyday life.
This city is overflowing with the most amazing variety of vegan meals, treats, sweets and snacks and it’s about time I shared my favourites with you.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really looking forward to hitting the road again in 2017 but for now lets focus on this vibrant city I call home. I’ve had plenty of time discovering the very best spots London has to offer. Let’s start with one of the classics: Camden Town.
Camden Market opened in 1974 and consists of a colourful mix of creative sellers, independent stores and street food traders set right next to Regent’s Canal. I usually go for the food stalls but it’s also a great destination for last minute Christmas shopping (I know I’m not the only one…).
In summer one of the best ways to spend a lazy London afternoon is heading to Camden Market, picking up a bite (or two) at one of the stalls, maybe some iced coffee or a cold beer and sitting by the canal until the sun goes down. If you’re lucky live music will lure you into one of the market’s bars or music venues afterwards.
The food market offers plenty of vegan options. My absolute favourites are Club Mexicana, an all vegan Mexican food stall, offering soft corn tacos, big burritos, BBQ pulled jackfruit, loads of guacamole and vegan sour cream…
