Homemade Vegan Banana Ice Cream: Simple and Delicious Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup of almond milk (you can also use coconut milk or another plant-based milk)
- 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Start by peeling the bananas and slicing them into small pieces. Place the sliced bananas in a bag or container and freeze them for at least 2 hours, or until they are completely frozen.
- Once the banana slices are frozen, take them out of the freezer and put them in a blender or food processor.
- Add the almond milk, maple syrup (or agave nectar), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender or food processor.
- Blend all the ingredients together until you have a smooth and creamy mixture. If necessary, pause blending to scrape down sides of blender or food processor with a spatula to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
- At this point, you can either serve your banana ice cream immediately for a soft-serve texture, or you can transfer it to an airtight container and freeze it for about two hours if you prefer a more solid texture.
- When ready to serve, scoop out your delicious homemade vegan banana ice cream into bowls or cones!
- Optional: Top with your favorite vegan-friendly toppings such as nuts, granola, coconut flakes, fresh fruits, vegan chocolate sauce etc.
